While reading, I was even able to use content from the book to work through confidence issues my son was having at the time. And the Word of God is a powerful weapon. This book is full of applicable scripture to highlight every point she makes about how we can fight the daily war for our minds the enemy attempts to wage on us. Sharon Jaynes’ new book, Enough: Silencing The Lies That Steal Your Confidence, has been the perfect introduction to the focus for me this year, Enough. I need to be obedient in growing my relationship with Christ, spending time with Him, spending time daily in His Word and leave all of the outcomes in my life to Him. Whereas previous accounts relied on often inaccurate histories and a small sampling of participant narratives, Babits uses veterans' sworn pension statements, long-forgotten published accounts, and a thorough knowledge of weaponry, tactics, and the art of moving men across the landscape. ![]() Here, Lawrence Babits provides a brand-new interpretation of this pivotal South Carolina battle. The victory at Cowpens helped put the British army on the road to the Yorktown surrender and, ultimately, cleared the way for American independence. On 17 January 1781, Daniel Morgan's force of Continental troops and militia routed British regulars and Loyalists under the command of Banastre Tarleton. The battle of Cowpens was a crucial turning point in the Revolutionary War in the South and stands as perhaps the finest American tactical demonstration of the entire war. ![]() ![]() ![]() I loved how sweet Kyle was to Amber and that he would listen to her feminist rants, how he would respect her and appreciate her and that he actually cared about more than just the physical/sexual aspects of a relationship. ![]() I did like Amber and Kyle together and I loved how their romance built up over time and wasn't insta-love. And how are borders––be they national, social, or bureaucratic––defined? In the twentieth century, Piketty diagnoses three major inequality regimes. Again and again, the author insists that at different points in time, several political pathways would have been possible.
